1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Shuttergate Atelier when you access our website, create an account, or book studio services.
2. Bookings and use
- Bookings are confirmed upon payment or signed purchase order.
- Access is limited to the times listed on your confirmation. Overtime is billed in one-hour increments.
- You are responsible for your crew and guests while on premises. A representative must remain on-site at all times.
3. Studio rules
- No smoking or vaping indoors. Use only approved haze machines.
- Rigging must be pre-approved by our Technical Supervisor and use rated hardware.
- Protect floors and walls from heavy or sharp equipment. Use furniture pads and layout board.
- Pets and live props require prior approval and a handler.
4. Equipment and add‑ons
Equipment provided as part of the booking is listed in your confirmation. Additional items may be rented subject to availability and separate charges. You are responsible for loss or damage occurring during your booking.
5. Payment and taxes
Rates are stated before applicable taxes and fees. Late payments may incur interest where permitted by law.
6. Cancellations and rescheduling
Unless otherwise specified in your confirmation: full refund up to 7 days before the start time, 50% refund 3–7 days before, and non-refundable within 72 hours. Rescheduling is free when the new date is available within 60 days.
7. Insurance and liability
You agree to carry commercial general liability insurance with limits customary for your production. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to amounts paid for the relevant booking.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Shuttergate Atelier harmless from third-party claims arising from your use of the studio, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Safety
Follow posted safety guidance, including electrical load limits and emergency egress. Notify staff immediately of hazards or incidents.
10. Intellectual property
Our website, brand, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute content without permission.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
